We are disappointed to announce that the Youth Ranches specialty license plate has been discontinued by the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles. Florida Statute requires that a specialty license plate be discontinued if the number of valid registrations falls below 3,000 for 12 consecutive months. As of October 1, 2024, our plate was below the 3,000-plate threshold for 12 consecutive months. The Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches License Plate has brought in hundreds of thousands of dollars of donations and helped spread the word about our mission. Your current specialty plate will be valid for the remainder of the 10-year replacement cycle. Once that cycle has ended, you will be required to get a standard plate or select a different specialty plate. You will no longer be charged the $25 annual specialty license plate fee for the Youth Ranches plate. All other applicable registration fees will continue to be collected during the annual renewal period.
