The Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches Specialty License Plate provides Florida citizens with a unique and personal way to help share our mission! By putting a Star on Your Car, you are joining thousands of other Mobile Ambassadors to help Florida’s needy boys and girls face the future with a sense of direction, ability and hope.
Easy Steps to “Put a Star on Your Car”
Obtain a Specialty License Plate in person:
- Go to your local Tax Collector’s Office. To find the Tax Collector’s Office in your county, visit: https://www.flhsmv.gov/locations/
- Request to purchase a specialty license plate and choose the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches Specialty License Plate.
Things to remember:
- The specialty license plate issuance fee is your $25.00 donation to the Youth Ranches.
- Registration and processing fees may vary by county
- Items you will need to bring with you to purchase your license plate:
- Registration
- Driver’s License
- Proof of Insurance

The Youth Ranches has partnered with buyfloridaspecialtyplates.com to offer an online method for purchasing our specialty license plate. Simply fill out the form below, add your order to the shopping cart, and then proceed to checkout.
Important information about purchasing a plate through buyfloridaspecialtyplates.com:
- There is a $94.50 flat fee regardless of the county you live in and date you request your tag for a one-year renewals.
- Additional fees will be assessed for multiple year renewals.
- Included in the $94.50 flat fee is a $14-$18 processing fee for online plates only.
- Specialty License Plate can be ordered at any time and outside the normal renewal cycle.
- There are no prorated discounts for early renewal on plates ordered online.
- A $25.00 gift to the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches is included in the $94.50 fee and each annual renewal.
- Future annual registrations will be handled by your county following normal registration processes.
- Renewal fees will be based on your county fee structure and detailed on your annual renewal notice received in the mail.
- Your new Specialty License Plate can be expected in the mail within 3 to 5 business days.
